Iran will allow for international BTC payments

The central bank of Iran as well as Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade have agreed to a deal that will allow the local merchants in the country to use cryptocurrencies for payments, more specifically for foreign trade settlements. This might be due to several economic sanctions by the US. Thus, Iran tries to find a way around these sanctions.

According to the newest information, the Ethereum Merge might be right around the corner. The Goerli testnet successfully completed a transition to proof-of-stake mechanism early this week, which is a major stepping stone for the Merge. The Merge is expected to happen between 15-16 of September. ETH has topped $2 000 mark amid this announcement.
