Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ANZ) has just offered to buy Suncorp Group’s banking unit. The whole operation could go as high as 3.4 billion dollars (5 dillion Australian dollars), making it one of the biggest banking deals in Australia in more than a decade. Suncorp is expected to announce their decision on Monday.

RBNZ hiked interest rates but NZD falls
