Oil rises on surprising drop in stocks

WTI crude oil increased more than 2.2% to above $78. This is after data revealed a bigger-than-expected drop in US petroleum stocks. US crude oil stocks declined by 5.89 million, more than the forecasted 1.65 million drop.

Hermes International (RMS) jumped to a new all-time high of over 1,806 per stock. The company is up 24% so far in 2023 and up 49.5% in the last 12 months. Hermes is currently valued at 188 billion euros.
