What is an uptrend?
In an uptrend, each subsequent peak and trough is higher than the ones that occurred earlier in the trend. Hence, the uptrend is made up of higher swing lows and higher swing highs.
What is a downtrend?
In a downtrend, each subsequent peak and trough is lower than the previous ones. Hence, the downtrend consists of lower swing lows and lower swing highs.
